£¿ The 130th Anniversary of the Birth of Mr. Li Shutong (Master Hong Yi) & Connections with Shanghai—Exhibition of Painting & Calligraphy Works of Li Shutong, Lu Weizhao and Wu Yifeng was held in Shanghai recently. The exhibition was jointly sponsored by Pinghu Municipal Government and Shanghai Hongkou District Culture Bureau, and organized by Zhu Qizhan Art Museum, Pinghu Li Shutong Memorial, Workshop of Lu Weizhao, Wu Yifeng Art Museum, Pinghu Culture & Sports Bureau and Pinghu Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation Bureau. Some leaders, including Ms. Song Yan, standing member and Director of Propaganda Department of Hongkou District CPC Committee, and Weng Jianrong, Mayor of Pinghu, granddaughter of Li Shutong and children of Lu Weizhao and Wu Yifeng attended the opening ceremony. The descendants of Li Shutong’s students including Wu Mengfei, Liu Zhiping and Qian Juntao were also present. More than 200 guests appreciated 112 authentic works of the three artists, including “the Amitabha Sutra£¿ with the largest size among Li Shutong’s works, “Orchid Pavilion Preface£¿ by Lu Weizhao as well as Wu Yifeng’s “Jialing Mountain Scenery£¿ with a length of 28 meters.
